Hey! I am Daniel Kosmala, the clarinet section leader for the 2006 Marching Band
season. This site will be used mostly for important dates and times. Please check it regularly for updates. I will try and
keep the site up to date with band camp dates and times and such. If you have any questions you can e-mail me at DKosmala@bellsouth.net or feel free to call me at 404-229-4528. I'm
usually available for help, but you might want to wait until finals are over. We should have our music soon and be ready to
start rehearsals. Please contact me and let me know if you know ahead of time that you will be out of town for any
family vacations or camps where you will be out of town for a prolonged time. You can also expect for us to have a few fun
get togethers over the summer as well. I am really looking forward to this season!
In case you haven't heard what our show for this year is, it is called "Going Somewhere?" The premise is planes, trains,
and automobiles. Our opener will be an arrangement of the song Noisy Wheels of Joy with pieces of some Beach Boys songs as
well as greased lightening. Our 2nd piece, the ballad, will be from the movie Apollo 13. The Launch will be our song about
flight. Our closer will be an arrangement on the Eric Whitacre piece "Ghost Train" with the song "Do The Locomotion" mixed
in. I will bring recordings of each piece to one of our sectionals for everyone to hear.
